   Check out the ones they have at a local camera store, then price them online. Try bhphotovideo.com, adorama.com, and amazon.com.
   I always get a replacement plan just in case something happends.

   You should go to a real store and handle a few cameras. Nothing replaces what you learn about a camera by using it. If you can get a big discount, then you could always order online afterwards. I find it’s worth the little extra to get a real feel for how cameras feel and respond in my hand. Not to mention you have someone who can help you get everything you need and make recommendations for you.
   I have never bought an extended warranty for anything, though some credit cards do provide that automatically when you purchase.

   get a nikon d40. theyre on sale at circuit city for 449. hurry because today is the last day! or bestbuy for a nikon d40 but thats 469.
