Skip this Nikon Model, LiveView Doesn’t Work
The ineffective “LiveView” mode on the D5000 may prompt Nikon to recall this model, trust me, it is that bad.

Perfect DSLR!
I am beyond happy with my new D5000. I am what you’d call a “pre-professional” and this camera has produced amazing shots for me.

First DSLR and I Couldn’t Be Happier!
I decided to upgrade to a DSLR a few months ago because I wanted to learn to take the fabulous pictures that I had come to associate with DSLRs.

Great Camera
Overall, this is a great camera. The gentleman writing the 1 star review apparently bought this camera with incompatible expectations.

The first thing I did was get out in the early morning light and take some…

Great SLR
Having bought my first D-SLR (a Nikon D60) last November, I was intrigued with the announcement of the D5000.

Amazing camera
I bought this camera from Amazon. It’s my first SLR. Photo quality is exceptional. I love the one touch live view which is not present in most of the SLRs.

Compact, great feature set, great low light image capture, good video capture
Perfect for the vacationer or hobbyist. The lack of an auto focus motor in the body is a non issue for most users.
