    Hello there,
There is nothing wrong with buying a refurbished digital camera, as long as you make sure it will carry some type of warranty. Most places will offer a 90 day warranty on refurbished items… but no place, no where is going to allow you a 30 day money back trial period, especially on cameras.
Try to find a Canon or Nikon in your price range… and it would even be to your advantage to see if you could get the camera as a kit… meaning that it would come with at least one lens. The one thing you do want to do is make sure the camera is a ”USA” version. Otherwise you will be up a creek without any way to have your camera repaired by an authorized repair technician.
If I can offer a couple of big name retail sales that also take in used equipment is B & H Photo / Adorama / Jack’s Cameras. You will have to google to find their 1 800 numbers. I have personally bought used equipment from Jack’s Cameras and have had good luck.
    Thanks for reading.

  2. Of course.
Go to a reputable shop. Usually they take the “old” one on trade to sell a new one and refurb the so called “old” and sell it about 40% off of its original price.
It is a good buy. Ask them if you can have a 30-day trial with money back guarantee. Usually they will agree. Take a ton of pictures from DOG to GOD. See if you like it. This is the only way.
